In June of 2024, Governor Walz signed the Minnesota Debt Fairness Act into legislation effective October 1, 2024. MAP BHC has outlined its practices for collecting medical debt in our Notice of Financial Policy and will not deny medically necessary care to our patients due to unpaid medical debt and will not engage in prohibited debt collection practices.
