ABOUT Marissa Marsolek

Welcome! I hope you can take a little time to thank yourself for recognizing that therapy may be the best next step for you or your kiddo! This first step can be the hardest part of this process, and I want to acknowledge that you are here.

I am excited to be able to offer my clients a safe and supportive space in which they can explore their thoughts, feelings, experiences, and work towards making positive changes in their lives. I feel privileged to work together with clients to navigate the inevitable challenges that life throws at us. I believe that clients are experts in their lives, and that I am here as a partner to uncover those truths that may get in the way of coping and healing.

I am passionate about working with children, adolescents, and adults in concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, life adjustments, and stress management. I strive to create an environment where we can work together to not only decrease the negative feelings, but also create a happier and healthier future. I tend to utilize strategies from Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, behavior management, and mindfulness-based approaches.

When I am not in the office, you will find me wandering the Duluth-area hiking trails, watching NCAA softball, eating Love Creamery ice cream, or getting lost in a good book!

Trainings and Certifications: ART through Accelerated Resolution Therapy, Play Therapy Certificate through Bethel University.
