ABOUT Louise Hanson

My goal in therapy is to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and never judged. I have spent over ten years working in education and more recently in human services. In this work I have supported families during some of their most challenging seasons including child behavioral concerns, family strain, parenting/marital stress, and crisis situations. This experience has shaped the way I show up in the therapy room today; with patience, compassion, and a genuine respect for each person’s unique story.

Whether supporting parents seeking tools and guidance, children learning emotional regulation skills, teens navigating identity and anxiety, parents feeling stretched thin, or adults working through life transitions, I aim to provide thoughtful care that fosters resilience, confidence, and meaningful growth. I believe in a collaborative approach; offering tools, insight, and gentle guidance while honoring that you are the expert in your own life and that each individual and family already possesses inherent strengths that can be built upon.

Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time by the lake, in the garden, or with a good book. I have lived in Northern Minnesota with my family and three dogs for twelve years and am thrilled to call this place home.

I’m honored to do this work and would be grateful to walk with you on your journey. Reaching out for support takes courage, together, we’ll build on your strengths, explore what’s getting in the way, and move toward greater clarity, confidence, and connection.
